Motor Oil Weights for Motorhomes
We offer literally every synthetic motor oil viscosity possible for motorhomes, and have the right motor oil weight to handle the engines of Jayco, Airstream, Keystone and even Winnebago. The most common motor oil viscosity for a gasoline RV is 5W-30 and 10W-30. We carry our Signature, Extended Life, Premium Protection and Original Engine lines of motor oil, which will protect your engine and deliver superior performance to get you up those mountain by-passes without dropping a gear. While for diesel-powered motorhomes, the most common viscosity is 15W-40, which comes in our Signature Series and Heavy Duty series, depending on your engine’s specific demands. Yes, we offer our MP Metal Protection spray that is able to cut through rust and can unfreeze frozen compounds around your frame and chassis. It will also help prevent rust and corrosion from forming and can even stop those stubborn squeaks.
How do I find the right motor oil viscosity for my RV?
The best option to find your engine's ideal motor oil viscosity is to check your owner’s manual. However, if that is not possible, one of our excellent technicians can look up your engine and find the right synthetic motor oil for your specific make and model.
Do I need to use commercial-grade motor oil in my motorhome?
No, you do not need to use commercial-grade motor oil for the vast majority of motorhome engines. We generally suggest our Signature Series, which blends the best of performance and wear protection to keep your motor running happy and healthy.
