Why 2-stroke power equipment motor oil has a special blend?
Unlike other motors, 2-stroke engines require a special notor oil blend, as they are designed to mix with gasoline in the engine and burn in the combustion chamber while lubricating the engine. As it is burnt along with the gas, 2-stroke engine oil like Amsoil’s line of motor oils has a low ash content, along with a special blend of additives to protect engines during high-speed, high-heat operation. Generally, these motor oils are lighter and thinner, with lower viscosity, to better coat the engine during high temp operation.

Does this oil work on all 2-stroke engines?
Yes, Saber 2-stroke engine oil works on all 2-stroke engines. Its custom blend is designed specifically for power equipment and other 2-stroke engines. However, if you are running a 2-stroke motorcycle or snowmobile engine, consider our custom blends for those vehicles, as you may get better performance from the blends built for your engine type.
Can you use the other 2-stroke motor oil instead?
Synthetic 2-stroke motor oil is significantly better for your power equipment than conventional motor oils on the market. For instance, our Saber blend has been proven to provide superior lubrication, reduce wear, and eliminate the effects of engine deposits during high-RPM operations.
