Motor Oil Weights for Snowmobile
Snowmobile motor oils are specific, and our formula is designed to maintain cold-temperature fluidity, deliver outstanding performance in DFI engines, protect against wear, prevent piston ring and exhaust power valve sticking, and, most importantly, perform well in all snowmobiles. We offer our standard 2-stroke injector oil, our Interceptor 2-stroke oil, designed specifically for snowmobiles, and our Dominator Racing Oil, which is great for those competing in snow cross, oval racing, or Snow Bash. For those 4-stroke snow machines, we also offer our 4-Stroke PowerSports Synthetic Motor Oil, which is wet-clutch compatible and delivers quick-start protection, making start-ups in the cold a non-issue.

Can I use normal 2-stroke or 4-stroke motor oil for a snowmobile in a pinch?
In a pinch, you can use 2-stroke or 4-stroke motor oil, but limit the miles you travel and swap it out as soon as you can. For instance, if you are in a pinch with a 2-stroke snowmobile, you can use any 2-stroke motor oil, but you will want to get the right motor oil for your machine into it as soon as you can. For most, this will be our Interceptor oil, while if you are racing, our Dominator blend is the right formula for you.
What makes snowmobile motor oils and lubricants different?
Snowmobile synthetic motor oils are designed to withstand freezing temperatures while still meeting the high-performance requirements of these complex machines. Our Interceptor and Dominator motor oils are designed for snowmobiling in Ohio and will provide excellent cold-start properties, burn cleanly, and keep deposits to a minimum, all while maximizing your sled's performance.
Do you offer any special warranties for Snowmobiles?
Yes, as a proud Snowmobile company, we offer our Runs on Freedom Snowmobile Limited Warranty to our users. The warranty covers OEM engines from Polaris, Arctic Cat, BRP, Ski-Doo, and Yamaha that use our Interceptor Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil for 2 years or 5,000 miles (8,000 km), whichever comes first. To take advantage of the free warranty, owners must complete a warranty application to AMSOIL no later than 18 months after taking physical delivery of their snow machine.
