What is the difference between motor oil for PowerStroke and power equipment?
Engine oil that is designed for PowerStroke engines is formulated with different additives and viscosities that are designed to deal with the high heat and pressure that come with these types of engines. In contrast, power equipment oil is designed to work in the smaller engines that are often air-cooled in blowers, mowers and chainsaws.
Do I need to use a specific type of lubricant based on brand or equipment?
In terms of lubricants, our transmission fluid, bar and chain oil, bearing and chassis grease and hydraulic oil will work on all makes and models. Some of these lubricants are available in different viscosities, so it is best to chat with one of our lubrication experts in Ohio to ensure you are getting the right lubricant for your specific make and model of power equipment engine.

In some cases, yes, you can use the same synthetic motor oil for your weed wacker and chainsaw.
