Whether that is replacing your existing protectant or lubricant or even replacing the engine, our team will work with you and your mechanic to make the necessary repairs if the issues are related to our products. In fact, we are so confident in our products that we do not place a specified mileage waiver or any restrictions at all. 

Do you need to use OEM oils & Lubricants?

No, you do not need to use original equipment manufacturer oils and lubricants in your vehicle. Not only do most OEMs use conventional oil from one of the larger oil companies you can find off the shelf, but there is no legal reason to continue using the same oil your dealership uses. In fact, it is against federal law for an OEM to deny warranty coverage based solely on the brand of replacement lubricant used. The only way a non-OEM part or lubricant can lead to denial is if it is solely responsible for the breakdown. When using AMSOIL, you will never encounter this issue, which is why we offer a warranty secure guarantee.

AMSOIL also has a specific guarantee tied to its INTERCEPTOR Synthetic 2-Stroke oil that goes above and beyond the standard AMSOIL Limited Warranty.     Warranty Secure is an AMSOIL publicity effort to get ahead of dealership led misinformation about the fact that you can use non-OEM lubricants and parts in your vehicle without voiding your warranty. In fact, AMSOIL synthetic motor oil will not only not void any warranties on your new vehicle, but it will also allow your vehicle to run better, cleaner and limit the damage wear and tear can make on your engine.  

  • What does Run on Freedom mean?

    Run on Freedom is AMSOIL’s warranty publicity campaign to ensure that owners know that they can depend on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and use non-OEM lubricants and protectants without the risk of nullifying their warranty. If you encounter an issue, AMSOIL’s product warranty team can assist in protecting and resolving warranty-related concerns with your dealership or manufacturer.  

  • What does the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protect?

    In Ohio and the rest of the United States, the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects your freedom to choose the brand of parts and lubricants for your vehicle or engine without the fear that you will void your factory warranty. If your engine has failed, the manufacturer or dealer must demonstrate that an aftermarket or recycled part caused the need for repairs before they can deny warranty coverage. If they are unable to do that, the dealer or manufacturer remains on the hook for the repair.
